Here are the colour plates about 6 x 9 from a 1940s Childrens Encyclopaedia edited by Arthur Mee.
There are 5 sections

The Colours of the Ancient Empires 4 plates of Egyptian pictures from tombs & a palace
The Lovely Books of Long Ago 4 plates of book illustrations designed by monks
The Glory of the Grass 4 plates of Grasses seen worldwide with some descriptions
The Oldest Picture of our History 8 plates of the story presented by the Bayeux Tapestry, these superb plates have 37 pictures each with some text of the story of William the Conqueror, his invasion and the Battle of Hastings.
These pages have been removed from the original encyclopaedia hence there is some edge damage, otherwise they are in good condition.
